Sanctuary in Town

“Completed in three phases over three years, the gardens development started by bringing structure to a garden. The lawn and borders were shaped and log cabin and green house found locations that didn’t dominate. Failing plants and trees were selectively pruned or removed, ill positioned plants were relocated. New planting reduced the dominance of the fencing and 4 wrought iron obelisks were added.

During the second phase the sterile porcelain tiles were replaced with warm limestone and a gravel garden area was included with olive trees to take advantage of the sun trap seating area. Recently, a small rocky pond was added, providing the cooling sound of running water.”
