The client enjoyed wild deer walking through their open garden so plants that were ‘deer resistant’ needed to be researched and sourced. The resulting reduced pallet of plants were repeated in drifts adding privacy to the pool, as well as texture and colour to this challenging site. The deer sometimes have a nibble but most of the planting has thrived the exposed and stony conditions.
